When the Cavaliers and Bulls were involved in an altercation during Game 5 on Tuesday, Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith had just one thought while mixed up in the incident, reports Cleveland.com.
"Just don't hit nobody," he said. "That was my main thing."
Smith was suspended for the first two games of the series after hitting Celtics forward Jae Crowder. During the Game 5 altercation, Smith was pushed in the back by Bulls guard Aaron Brooks, but Smith didn't retaliate.
"There was definitely a fire lit, but I tried to keep my cool as much as I could," he said. "The first thing I thought about was the previous situation [in Boston]. I didn't want to do anything that would put myself in a situation where I did the first two games. I just wanted to separate my guys, regroup and go from there."
