Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose had a scary moment at the end of Game 1 against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday. The Bulls led 96-90 with 30.6 seconds left, and Rose ran into Cavs big man Tristan Thompson while trying to chase Kyrie Irving around. The screen set by Thompson didn't look quite legal, and Rose appeared to be in serious pain afterward. Thankfully, he told TNT's Rachel Nichols postgame that it was just a stinger and he'd be fine.
It's a relief that Rose is OK. His strong play -- at least when he has more than one day of rest -- in the playoffs is one of the more pleasant storylines in the league. Against Cleveland, he had 25 points (11-26 FG, 3-6 3PT), five rebounds and five assists in the 99-92 win.
