Ex-Thunder coach Scott Brooks, considered to be one of the NBA's hottest candidates for open jobs, will pass up interviews with the Pelicans and Nuggets and likely will take the upcoming season off, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Brooks, who led the Thunder to three Western Conference finals and one NBA finals appearance before falling one game short of the playoffs in 2014-15 despite absences from stars Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant, will spend time with his family and explore TV opportunities, according to the report.
The Thunder replaced Brooks with former Florida coach Billy Donovan.
