Love reportedly won't accept Olynyk's apology

After dislocating his shoulder in Game 4 of the Cavs' first round series against the Boston Celtics, Kevin Love put all of the blame on Kelly Olynyk. He thought Olynyk made a "bush-league play" and told reporters that he "had no doubt" that the Celtics forward did it "on purpose."

Weeks have past since the incident but Love is still holding a grudge. After undergoing sugery to repair his shoulder, Love will now probably miss the rest of the playoffs and he is holding Olynyk accountable. So much so that he is reportedely refusing to accept an apology from the Celtics big man.

From Yahoo!'s Adrian Wojnarowski:

Love rejoined the Cavaliers on Wednesday, after he had stayed away from Game 1. Boston Celtics forward Kelly Olynyk and his representatives have continued to deliver word to Love and people close to him that Olynyk wants to privately apologize to him, sources told Yahoo Sports. Olynyk wants to tell Love personally that he never intended to injure him in Game 4 of that series, that he's sorry for the shoulder surgery that'll cost Love six months.

Strangely, Love continues to rebuff Olynyk. He isn't interested in the call, refusing to ease Olynyk's guilt.

Olynyk doesn't think his play was malicious in any way and has been wanting to apologize to Love since the incident occurred. He hasn't had an easy time dealing with the fallout either as Olynyk is continually being harassed by Cavs fans.

You can imagine Love's frustrations with Olynyk but it is strange that he refuses to talk with him. As Mahatma Gandhi famously said, "An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind."
