Cavaliers forward Kevin Love underwent successful surgery Wednesday to repair his dislocated left shoulder and will miss the remainder of the postseason, the team announced.
Love sustained the injury in his team's Game 4 win over the Celtics after getting tangled with Kelly Olynyk. He played just seven minutes in the win, which gave the Cavaliers a first-round sweep.
ith Love potentially out six months, his status for the beginning of next season is in doubt. He owns a $16.7-million player option for next season that will allow him to return to the Cavaliers for one more year if he so chooses.
