Thunder forward Kevin Durant expressed approval of the team's decision to hire Billy Donovan as their next coach, reports ESPN.com.
"I'm very excited to learn from him and get better from him and do my best to do whatever he tells me to do," Durant said.
In order to gauge how Donovan is as a coach, Durant said he reached out to former University of Florida players Mike Miller and Chandler Parsons.
Despite having never coached in the NBA, Durant was confident Donovan would be a successful coach with the Thunder, according to The Oklahoman.
"If you know how to coach a team, that's all that matters," he said.
