Cavs' Irving tweaks knee, leaves Game 6


Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving had to be helped to the locker room after suffering an knee injury in the second quarter of Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals Thursday against the Bulls. He was initially called probable to return after having the knee taped but was listed as doubtful for the second half coming out of halftime, Cavs.com reports.

Irving appeared to step on teammate Tristan Thompson's foot, causing him to land awkwardly and aggravate his knee injury. However, he had the knee retaped in the locker room and soon returned to the bench, appearing ready to get back on the floor. However, he remained out through the end of the first half and watched as Matthew Dellavedova took the floor for the start of the second half.

Irving has scored six points on 2 of 2 shooting while playing 12 minutes in the game.
