Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau has confirmed that Pau Gasol (hamstring) is out for Tuesday's Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals in Cleveland, reports the Chicago Tribune.
Gasol sat out Game 4 with a hamstring injury and did not practice Monday, only doing rehab work to the hamstring.
Gasol has not ruled out playing in Game 6, but added that he hasn't run at full speed or changed direction yet.
On Tuesday, Gasol worked through a series of stretching exercises for the strained left hamstring with Thibodeau keeping hope that his power forward would be a game-time decision.
Asked whether Gasol was improving, Thibodeau said, "A little bit."
Without Gasol, Nikola Mirotic saw an increase in minutes for the Bulls in Game 4.
Gasol has averaged 12.6 points and six rebounds for the three games he's played in the series.
