Pacers forward Chris Copeland is still in a New York intensive care unit with a punctured diaphragm following his stabbing outside of a nightclub early Wednesday morning, according to the Indianapolis Star.
Copeland has been stabalized at Bellevue Hospital.
Copeland underwent surgeries to his abdomen and left elbow after being stabbed in both areas. Shezoy Bleary-Murdock was arrested and charged in the stabbing. Bleary-Murdock is also accused of stabbing Copeland's ex-fiancée Katrine Saltara in the elbow, as well as stabbing his own girlfriend.
There is some worry, the report states, that Copeland's elbow wound could become infected. It was heavily bandaged following surgery.
The Pacers were in town to play the Knicks Wednesday. Indiana won the game 102-86.
